Sparx Grinding Ring Starter Pack – three rings to get started
The Starter Pack contains the three rings that let you get started at home right away. According to Sparx, they are the three most commonly used hollows. This lets you take your time trying out which hollow suits you.
In the set
- 1/2" Radius (12.7 mm): the most commonly skated hollow
- 5/8" Radius (15.9 mm): shallower hollow with more glide
- 1/2" FIRE (12.7 mm): flat-bottom hollow – grip like 1/2", glide like 11/16" according to Sparx
Ring life
According to Sparx, a grinding ring lasts on average for around 60 pairs of skates – calculated with three cycles per sharpening. If you sharpen with more cycles, it will be fewer pairs. A chip in the ring stores the remaining ring life. The machine displays it and tells you when the ring needs to be replaced.
Compatibility
For the Sparx skate sharpeners ES200 and Sharpener 3 (ES300).
